Volunteering
ALTAR SERVERS are needed. Training will be provided. Please contact Father Gurnick if your children are interested in joining this important ministry.
PARISH FELLOWSHIP can thrive with your help. Please consider signing up here to host after a weekend liturgy or to provide a healthy snack. Keep this beloved tradition alive!
We are currently in need of GREETERS AND USHERS at all weekend Masses. Leave a message for Joe Wadowick at 216-631-6872 or email ushers.greeters@stpatrickbridge.org.
SACRISTANS care for the sanctuary and its holy objects. Call or email Fr. Gurnick to ask how you can get involved. 216-631-6872 or mgurnick@dioceseofcleveland.org.
Altar Servers
For many years, one of the most visible ministries provided by the youth of St. Patrick Parish has been to assist with Sunday liturgies as Mass servers. Girls and boys complete training during which they learn the parts of the Mass, the purpose of the vessels and vestments, and prescribed rites during various seasons and celebrations.
Adults may also serve in this ministry, and one of the ways adult servers have been especially generous in this capacity is by serving for funeral liturgies.
For information about training to serve at Mass, contact Father Gurnick.
Parish Fellowship
As we carry the Gospel message into the world after weekend liturgies, our first place of encounter is often just two doors west of the church, in the lower hall of the Club!
We have suspended our normal after-Mass fellowship for the summer of 2023. We look forward to seeing you at the Parish Picnic on August 27th.
This ministry may take a new shape in the fall of 2023 and we will need many volunteers to make this possible by hosting and manning the fellowship tables after our Masses.(The parish supplies Sunday doughnuts and beverages.) If you would like to be a part of making fellowship happen, please e-mail Christy Bartley at christy.bartley@stpatrickbridge.org.
We thank our former organizing team for all of their hard work in rebooting this ministry in the post-COVID era.
Greeters & Ushers
Besides welcoming God’s people to worship and responding to questions about the church and parish, ushers also assist with securely delivering the collection for counting.
Can you help provide a sense of welcome? To volunteer, please contact Joe Wadowick at 216-631-6872 or email ushers.greeters@stpatrickbridge.org.
Sacristans
If you might find special joy in working in a quiet church, enjoying the changing light through the stained glass windows as you ready the sanctuary for celebration of the liturgy, we need your gifts.
We are forming a new Martha Ministry of sacristans to maintain supply inventory, care for altar linens and vestments, clean candle globes and brass, decorate for the changing seasons, and ensure a clean, sanitary environment in the sacristy and sanctuary. Opportunities are available both for team players and people who prefer to work on projects independently.
Interested? Leave a message for Fr. Gurnick at 216-631-6872 or mgurnick@dioceseofcleveland.org.
